Our first large scale project - and still one of our favourites! We undertook the full electrical installation, distributed audio, distributed video, alarm, CCTV, smart lighting and heating control for this project, including upgrading the electrical supply to 3 phase to provide power to the new swimming pool.

For this beautiful five-bedroom new build home we designed a centralised control system to operate the AV (including basement cinema room), lighting, heating, security and window treatments. Of great importance here was a highly stable internet connection and centralised media storage solution to allow the client’s son access to his favourite shows, whilst not disrupting video conferencing for work.

Our client contacted us to remove a build-up of disused telephone, aerial and electrical cabling which had been installed over many decades, both inside and outside their historically significant home. We installed a new wired and WiFi internet network, new TV and Audio system and upgraded some of the electrical installation with a new consumer unit and cabling. At the same time we installed a new multi-user video intercom unit for the gate allowing the owners of this small collection of properties to have individual control, with buzzers and video calls with their own visitors and deliveries.

Our client purchased this home with the aim of carrying out a major renovation a few years down the line, but wanted to live in the property whilst designs were drawn up and the necessary planning permissions were sought. We designed a centralised Audio Visual and Security system with wired and WiFi internet network which could be installed on a temporary basis and extended when the renovation was approved. We also carried out a partial rewire of the electrical system and replaced the consumer unit with a modern RCBO board.

Having received planning permission to convert this double garage into a small property, our clients invited us to carry out all electrical works which included a new mains feed into the property from the main house and a new RCBO consumer unit. We installed a dedicated wired and WiFi network, a small alarm system and 3 TVs connected to a new aerial with surround sound in the living room.

On Completion, this 13,000 sqft luxury home was our largest project to date. Our client wanted a secure family home, with a simple energy efficient control system including all the “mod-cons”, and a reliable internet & WiFi network to allow for home-working. We developed a bespoke centralised system making use of Crestron™ lighting, heating, audio and video modules and integrated Dahua CCTV and Texecom security into this. The property can be controlled using a mix of wall mounted keypads, touchscreens and sensors as well as via our ipad/iphone app. A three-phase electrical installation was completed as part of our works to power the house and separate pool building.

This regency style home has been beautifully restored from top to bottom to include modern energy efficient conveniences such as intelligent LED lighting and centralised Audio/Video. As with all modern homes a reliable internet/WiFi was essential to allow for home working and streaming AV. Our Crestron based system has also been customised to control the cinema room and colour changing LED lighting, including circadian lighting in the basement which replicates daylight colour temperature from outside.

This incredible Grade 2 Listed Georgian home, consisting of eight bedrooms and living accommodation over four floors, is being lovingly restored to its former glory with a full rewire, new plumbing/heating system and sympathetic redecoration throughout. Sonitus was originally brought in to provide a lighting design and smart lighting system with distributed AV and a robust wired and WiFi internet network. In October 2023 Sonitus took over the full three phase electrical rewiring works for the ground floor, basement and garage.

Our clients are rock music fans and wanted a Crestron™ home where they can listen to their favourite music, turned up loud as it was meant to be heard. As well as an extension to integrate a new master suite, the property is undergoing a full rewire, and we will be using Crestron to control all areas of the property including lighting, heating, alarm, CCTV and of course a fantastic, centralised music system. The clients are not keen on seeing technology so we are using Sonance Invisible series speakers which will be plastered into the main living areas to provide crystal clear sound throughout the downstairs of the house.

Our exciting new project for 2024 will start in the spring on the site of “Arts and Crafts Renovation”. We are providing a full three-phase and solar electrical installation, plus building management system including AV, Lighting, Security, HVAC and wired/WiFi networking. We will be reusing some of the hardware purchased for the renovation of the former property back in 2021 and expanding that system with a whole host of exciting new tech. Watch this space…

Sonitus was formed by our three founders in April 2019.
